Global Learning Designers Live Web Chat with Julie Lindsay, Author of The Global Educator on Saturday, May 6th, 2017, 6:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Daylight Time at this link
– I am currently teaching a graduate course called Global Learning and Collaboration with Technology at the University of West Georgia. Most of the graduate students in my class are K-12 teachers and other students in the class work in higher education or government and corporate settings. The students have been working collaboratively as global learning designers and making plans to implement global learning and collaboration with other educators. The students’ work this semester has been asynchronous and I want to end the semester with a synchronous experience with other global educators. Julie Lindsay has kindly agreed to participate in a live web discussion with my graduate students and share information about her experience and the Flat Connections program. Other global educators are welcome to join the online meeting and listen to the discussion and participate through the public chat in the meeting. If you would like to share information about your global organization, projects, or experiences, let me know and I can promote you to presenter for a brief period of time after Julie has shared information about the Flat Connections program. You can send me an email to Lhaynes@westga.edu to let me know. This live web chat could also be an opportunity for global educators to share their interests and contact information in the public chat and make connections for future collaborations. You should be able to connect directly with the link shown above. The conference platform is Global Meet. Here is the link to download the Global Meet app if you need it for your device: https://www.globalmeet.com/downloads/ Come join us!
